Securing the Future: The Global Cyber Alliance’s 2024 Impacts and Achievements

2024 was a year of significant progress and collaboration in advancing the security, resilience, and inclusivity of the global Internet. At the heart of these efforts are our programs – Capacity & Resilience, Internet Integrity, and Driving Ecosystem Engagement – which have each demonstrated the power of collective action in addressing cyber challenges. We forged incredible partnerships this year that reflect our shared commitment to safeguarding the digital ecosystem. Together, we have fortified the Internet’s backbone, demonstrated the importance of an equitable approach to cybersecurity, and worked to ensure safer and more reliable digital experiences for all.

Last year was defined by the launch of exciting new initiatives designed to help people stay more secure online. We introduced Common Good Cyber to promote cybersecurity for the public good and unveiled CyberFlex to help young adults avoid getting scammed online. Additionally, we took on the secretariat role for Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security (MANRS) to foster routing security best practices, and our new partnership with The Asia Foundation expanded our global footprint, enabling us to support underserved communities in building cyber resilience across the Asia Pacific region. These milestones reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation, collaboration, and making a meaningful difference in the cybersecurity landscape.
