The Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) has appointed John Cirocco to serve as GCA Ambassador. John was selected because of his extensive career within the Australian telecommunications and cybersecurity industry.
John Cirocco is an Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre (Aus3C) Cyber Coach with an extensive career building telecommunications systems for the Space, Defence, Enterprise, and Government sectors.
As a communicator, John has performed key roles in Aus3C programs, including cyber clinics, workshops, and events specifically focused on helping small businesses navigate the complexities of cybersecurity. These programs have included: Cyber Uplift Step Program, Cyber Smart training (AICSA), Gig City Cyber program, and Cyber Clinics.
“It’s important we focus on affordable, actionable strategies to build cyber resilience for those that need it most. Through the GCA and the Aus3C I look forward to raising awareness and driving real-world outcomes for individuals and businesses alike.”
With his appointment, he will serve a two-year term and will help raise awareness about GCA programs, tools, and solutions.
GCA Ambassadors serve a key role in facilitating early testing of GCA tools and assisting with public outreach, at which John excels, to ensure these resources are globally available and locally relevant. Ambassadors also support GCA’s sustainability efforts, which helps make tools freely available to everyone.
Our Ambassadors are influential and respected individuals in their field with the ability and networks to engage and promote our mission and programs to key national, regional, and international stakeholders.
Terry Wilson, GCA’s Global Partnership Director, said, “It is a privilege to welcome John to our team and, specifically, adding his extensive expertise in the telecommunications sector, with a deep technical IT foundation, to our community of Ambassadors to advance GCA’s vision of a secure, trustworthy Internet that enables social and economic progress for all.”
