OSPREY (Online Safety and Security for Protection of Public-Facing Professionals and Democratic Resilience)  addresses the escalating risks faced by Public-Facing Professionals (PFPs), who are increasingly targeted by online abuse, intimidation, threats and coordinated disinformation campaigns. Such attacks undermine personal wellbeing, constrain professional activity and erode public trust in democratic institutions. Online risks to public-facing professionals and their consequences for professions and open society are a shared concern. However, tackling them remains complicated and fragmented. OSPREY is an EU-funded project bringing together a multidisciplinary consortium of 17 institutions in 12 countries to develop practical, evidence-based solutions that strengthen the online protection of elected officials and members of police forces and increase the resilience of society and democratic institutions.  

The Global Cyber Alliance is a member of the consortium and is the data controller for the OSPREY mailing list.
