Megan Kruse
Senior Communications Director
Megan Kruse is the Senior Communications Director of the Global Cyber Alliance. Working primarily in cybersecurity and Internet infrastructure, her specialties are in transforming dense technical topics into easy-to-understand and actionable information, and guiding strong teams to deliver effective, efficient, and impactful products and services. Her work has included community building and outreach, public relations, social media, marketing, partnership, and grant management, mostly in nonprofit organizations within the Internet ecosystem.
Before joining GCA, she managed multiple projects at the Internet Society and the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) encouraging the deployment of key Internet technologies including IPv6, DNSSEC, and RPKI.
What brought you to GCA, and what does GCA’s mission mean to you?
I first became aware of GCA while working on Internet of Things (IoT) security and routing security at the Internet Society, where – amongst other things – I was part of the team building Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security (MANRS) into the thriving community it is today. When GCA began serving as the Secretariat for MANRS, I jumped at the chance to join GCA to further that work and help improve GCA’s other projects that reduce risks to everyday Internet users.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
You’ll likely find me spending time with my dog, tackling a jigsaw puzzle, or embracing the great outdoors if the weather’s nice.
