Renée N. McLaughlin is the Training Coordinator & Toolkit Manager, working to improve the capacity and resilience of identified user communities and lead on cyber hygiene training. Ms. McLaughlin has more than 28 years of executive and management experience in both the public and private sectors.

Prior to joining GCA, Ms. McLaughlin served as the Executive Director of the U.S. Cyber Challenge, housed within the Center for Internet Security (CIS), where she was responsible for the strategic development and management of all aspects of USCC. Before that, she spent seven years as an executive with a Washington, DC homeland security consulting firm.

Ms. McLaughlin also practiced law in Upstate New York for seven years, primarily as a criminal defense attorney at both the state and federal level, before moving to Washington, DC in 1999. There she joined the New York State Governor’s Federal Affairs Office as Legislative Counsel where she remained for almost five years.

Ms. McLaughlin earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the State University of New York at Albany and a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School at Union University.
