
Tony Krzyzewski
Co-founder and Director, SAM for Compliance
Tony Krzyzewski has been involved in the New Zealand IT industry for over forty years, with the past 30 years specialising in cybersecurity. He has been involved in many areas of the industry and has been recognised as a leader in most areas that he has been involved with. He is acknowledged internationally as a pioneer in the cybersecurity sector and is frequently called on to present on this topic, as well as acting as a trusted advisor within the government and commercial sectors.
From 2015 to 2026 Tony held the role as New Zealand Convenor for International Standards Organisation Standards Committee 27. In this voluntary role he was the country’s Participatory Voter, and coordinated New Zealand’s contribution to ISO information security, cybersecurity, privacy protection standards. Tony is a CIS Controls Ambassador and a contributor to the development of the CIS Controls and its associated Companion Guides, Policy Templates and Standards Mappings. He is also an active contributor to Global Cyber Alliance content and user awareness campaigns.
Tony was made a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of IT Professionals in 2017 in recognition for his contribution to the information technology industry. In 2023, Tony was inducted into the ISANZ Information Security Hall of Fame for his contributions to the information security landscape encompassing standards development, operations, network design, and technology innovation.
Tony is co-founder and Director of SAM for Compliance, a cloud-based service that helps organisations self-assess, manage, improve and report on compliance with international standards and defined controls. In 2017 SAM for Compliance Ltd became the first Australasian region partner in the Global Cyber Alliance.
