At RSA Conference 2025, Kayle Giroud, Director of Common Good Initiatives at GCA, met Anna Delaney, Director of Productions at ISMG.
“Common Good Cyber was launched a year ago because we wanted to raise awareness about the difficulties of funding, and find solutions to make it sustainable,” Giroud explained when presenting the global initiative led by GCA to help NGOs that play a vital role in Internet security and support for underserved communities, and yet face chronic financial instability.
The vulnerability of critical cyber infrastructure – important underfunded efforts that are often nonprofit-led –and the details on the architecture of Common Good Cyber (tool mapping, a resource hub for nonprofits, and work toward a related fund that will provide a “safety net” for nonprofits) led the conversation.
“The world is very different today than it was a year ago, so we are trying to accelerate our deadline a little bit to ensure a soft launch of the fund by June this year, because many of those nonprofits at critical risk are going dark,” Kayle announced.
