Through the Craig Newmark Scholars Program, GCA hires veterans and journalists for one-year terms in positions where they will help drive GCA’s mission. The initiative offers these individuals an opportunity to begin or enrich a career path in cybersecurity. Scholars explore an interdisciplinary approach and become immersed into the technical, partnership, fundraising, and policy aspects of cybersecurity work. This effort is made possible through the continuing support from Craig Newmark Philanthropies.
We are pleased to welcome our 2021 Veteran Scholar, Thomas Jung, to the program. In Thomas’ own words, “I was drawn to the work of GCA, seeing it as a perfect combination of my passion for cybersecurity and my passion for helping people. The people at GCA all have unique skill sets, backgrounds, and knowledge to contribute. I love the diverse environment and the welcoming atmosphere.”
You can read more about Thomas’ background and what makes him tick on his GCA profile page.
