Cybersecurity Reducing Carbon Footprints
Convincing organizational leadership, governments, institutional donors, or ordinary people to fund cybersecurity initiatives is difficult. Making the connection between the technical and doing good is a complicated and often convoluted trip. Almost no one has a problem understanding the importance of reducing our carbon footprint, which is something improved cybersecurity can contribute to as well.
“I think our lives in cyber would be easier if there was an emotional connection with the problem as there is with murder, robbery, etc. People get angry about carbon, but they don’t get angry about cyber.”
