Event Description

Now in its fifth year, Cyber Trends draws on the experience of industry practitioners, government representatives, and researchers to examine the current trends and what is on the horizon for the cybersecurity ecosystem, across the UK and around the world.

This year the debates will consider the impact of the global pandemic on the current and future cyber scene. We are at a critical juncture where new trends are appearing and transformative initiatives are taking place.

Agenda

The sessions will begin with an overview of cybercrime activities of 2020 centered around Verizon’s annual DBIR report.

That keynote will introduce the central part of the event—a panel highlighting Domain Trust, a GCA initiative focused on identifying abuse in the domain name system to help address the global response against conventional e-crime.

A second keynote will follow, with the privileged insights of the Information Commissioner’s Office into the role of privacy for the future of cybersecurity.

Finally, a closing debate will offer an opportunity for first-hand insights from those who will define the future of cybersecurity—the next generation of responders.

Suzanne Kelly, CEO of The Cipher Brief and presenter of the event, will close the sessions with a debate and Q&A open to all participants.
