Event Description

In 2020-21, the number of cyber crimes recorded by the police in Scotland almost doubled (increasing by 95%) compared to the number recorded in 2019-20.* Fraud and cyber attacks are an increasing threat so it’s essential that you and your business are aware of current scams so that you can take steps to prevent falling victim.

This Bank of Scotland webinar will be hosted by Chris Lawrie – Area Director, SME & Mid Corporates in Scotland.

Bank of Scotland fraud expert Vin Pandha will share information on the latest frauds targeting today’s businesses and you will gain an in-depth understanding of common threats including business email compromise and telephone and text scams. You will also receive guidance on what you can do to keep your business safe and where to go for further support.

Vin will be joined by Global Cyber Alliance’s Andy Bates who will talk about current cyber threats and what businesses can do to prevent / prepare for an attack. There will be the opportunity for Q&A at the end of the session.

You can register to attend using the link below and we encourage you to share the invite with your colleagues, because fraudsters could target anyone within your organisation who isn’t fraud aware. (If you are not a Bank of Scotland customer just add GCA in the relevant field).

Refreshing your fraud knowledge regularly is one of the best ways you can help your organisation avoid a fraud loss.
